Hard Eight is becoming my first stop when traveling through. The vibe is all BBQ and country music. All the smoked meats come standard with smoke rings and manually cut. 1/2 lb of brisket is about $12. 1/2 lb beef rib (Friday's and Saturdays) is $12. Price add up if not paying attention to the amount and variety of meats ordered. It's all good memories. The next day, I'm still burping smoked BBQ.

Highly recommend when traveling into town. This is a unique Texas experience with always very good food. - I don't get the pictures with the price though... I spend more than those photographs would suggest but it's worth it.

Classic Texas BBQ for an amazing price! Hard 8 is all about the experience from ordering straight from the pit, choosing from the selection of sides (try the fried okra and onion rings), and pouring your own sauce. The food here is the real deal. Great smoky flavor and super fresh taste. This is what I was looking for during my trip to Dallas. The service is great! The pit masters are knowledgeable about the different cuts of meat and are more than happy to talk it over with you. The ambiance gives you the feel of an authentic Texas BBQ experience. Well worth the visit.

I had a very last minute request for lunch for 20. The entire staff especially Kayla was extraordinarily helpful in fulfilling my request. Not only did they offer options for food, but possible pick up option if they could not facilitate my order. Never once did they say "no we can't do that ". It was always "we can find a way to make it work" The BBQ itself was amazing and travels well. All set ups, drinks, and desserts we delivered making it a seamless effort on our part. I can't thank them enough. Great job Hard Eight Team!

I've been here approximately 10 times and what I truly enjoy about Hard Eight is that there always is an abundance of food no matter what day you go. It has great quality food, without the hours line wait just to be without certain menu items available when it is your time to order. The standout of my meal are the grilled onions!!! The way they season them and how they caramelize on the cast iron skillet... bruh. The steak is always seasoned well and cooked to my specifications. The brisket is juicy and flavorful, the chicken was a little dry but it was passable with adding the bbq sauce. A solid 7.5 meal consistently. Can't go wrong with Hard Eight.

My husband used to travel to Texas monthly on business and he always raved about the BBQ here. Recently, we were visiting Texas he brought me here. He wasn't kidding about the BBQ here! I love BBQ, and this did not disappoint! Located in kind of an industrial area, which was kind of weird, but it wasn't deterring patrons. The place was absolutely packed, The ordering process was a little odd, but my husband walked me through it. You enter the restaurant and immediately line up in front of the hard workers and pit masters. You tell them what types of meat you want and how much. Then you proceed further into the restaurant to order your sides and drinks. A lot of the tables are communal. The food was absolutely delicious and the whole experience screamed Texas! A fantastic experience and meal!
